Leadership

Pastor Stacy McCarter Garnett has been married to husband, Victor, for 30 years. They have two beautiful children, Jalen and Jada. Pastor Stacy is the daughter of Chief Apostle Aaron and Mother Carol McCarter.  Her childhood church home was St James Church of Christ Disciples of Christ under the Pastoral leadership of the late Bishop Malcom Stuart Johnson. 

 

Pastor Stacy joined Mt Sinai Church of Christ in 1994. She also received salvation that same year.  God called Pastor Garnett into the ministry in 1996.  She preached her initial sermon on March 8, 1998 at the former Mt. Sinai Church of Christ (now the Word of Life Worship Center) in Washington, NC.  She received her ministerial education at the Mt Sinai Training Academy where she graduated and was ordained in 1999 under the authority of the Unity Fellowship Conference of Christ under the leadership of Chief Apostle Aaron McCarter and the late Bishop JC McCotter.  During her years at Mt Sinai and Word of Life, Pastor Garnett served on the Praise and Worship Team, President of the Women Witnessing for Christ Women’s Ministry, Administrator of Mt Sinai Christian Academy, GED instructor, Assistant Church Secretary, Church Board member, and Associate Minister.  Pastor Garnett continues to serve on the Church Board and an Instructor and Administrator at the Word of Life Ministries Training Institute.  

 

In 2010 Pastor Garnett was appointed Pastor at the Word of Life Worship Center in Ft Barnwell where she served for 9 years until being installed to serve as Pastor of the Word of Life Worship Center in Washington in January 2020. In 2013 she was appointed to the Marked For A Miracle International Conference’s Board of Elders under the leadership of Bishop William A. Mitchell.  It was the Marked For a Miracle Conference that  bestowed upon Pastor Garnett the Honorary

Dr. of Theology degree in 2018.  Pastor Garnettt traveled ministering in song and Word both nationally and internationally with the Marked For a Conference to Jamaica Queens New York, Detroit Michigan, Houston Texas, New Orleans Louisiana, Oakland California, Brussels Belgium, Quebec Canada,

and Nairobi Kenya.

Pastor Garnett graduated Valedictorian of her class from West Craven High School.  Upon graduation she attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel on full scholarship and obtained a BS degree in Public Health and Hospital Administration.  Pastor Garnett also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from East Carolina University.  She has been employed with the same company for 29 years where she is the Chief Financial Officer and President for one of the largest human services providers in the state of North Carolina.  

Pastor Stacy loves serving the Lord and supporting the ministries where God has placed her.  It is her heart’s passion to preach the Gospel to God's people, destroy the enemy’s strongholds, and lift God’s people to their next level in him!
